Service Project: Move for America,

Program Engagement Coordinator

Hi, I’m Jasmine! I am a graduate of the Carlson School of Management with a B.S.B. in Marketing and a minor in Digital Media Studies. I have a pet turtle, I stream on Twitch sometimes, I like to rock climb!

I grew up in Fairfax, Virginia. Being in the DC metropolitan area, I had the privilege of engaging in local youth social activism. I also felt discouraged by systems in place that are out of my control. I found community to be the leading force of social improvement, with love as the root in everything. Move for America provides a space to empower and be empowered by humans.

Nright by Kehlani

I listened to this song (and the entire album) a lot during my early high school years. This one
was definitely a shower song. I find it to be so beautiful.
'So be great, be kind
Don't let them dim your light
A woman/man like a sun should always stay bright
Yes, you are like the sun so always stay bright'

I’d like to think I shine very bright. I like to help other people stay shining too. If there’s one
thing about me it’s that I love to laugh, have fun, and be silly.

Rage by Rico Nasty

This song is a whole other side of me! I would listen to this song to start my day when I was in
college. There’s so much for me to be angry about. So much anger inside. So I let it out. RAGE!
Then I choose kindness for my day. I choose to be present. I try to stay bright.
Rico Nasty is also one of my favorite artists! I happened to see her perform live when she opened
for Kehlani on tour!
