Service Project: Move for America,

Program Engagement Coordinator

Originally from California, I currently reside in upstate South Carolina. One thing unique about myself is that I was the first in my family to graduate from college. Bridging divides and strengthening civic dialogue is most important to me because without working together, we won't be able to build a better future for the next generation.

What a Wonderful World
by Louis Armstrong

I can remember growing up, listening to my mom
sing this song to me. It helped me open my eyes to
the different colors the world has to offer. To this
day, this song makes me smiles and reminds me that
everyone deserves help and that we need to work
together to make the world a beautiful place.

Speechless
by Naomi Scot

This song is phenomenal. As the first in my
family to graduate from college I put a lot of
stress on myself. This song reminded me to push
through the stress because I was worth it, I was
worth putting life on hold to give myself the best
possible future.

Let it Be
by The Beatles

I can be an overthinker, so this song is my go-to
song for when I am stressed. This song, among
many other Beatles songs help me let things go
when things are out of my control. Listening to
this song during dark, stressful, uncertain times
(like those during the pandemic) brought light
into my world and allowed me to breathe again.
